STUDY THESE INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY

1. BE SURE you thoroughly understand just what you are to do before attempting to hypnotize anyone. If you stop and hesitate and wonder what to do next, you'll never influence anyone. Go about your work in a competent manner and show your subjects by your actions that you are complete master of what you are doing.

2. PERSEVERE. This is a very important point to keep in mind. As a new student of the science, you must not expect to hypnotize everybody you try. Remember, all successful operators and noted hypnotists came to be such only by long practical experience. If you do not succeed with the first person you try, or even the first five or ten for that matter, do not give up, but keep right on trying. Just keep right on practicing the methods we'll show you, and, as sure as the sun shines, you will ultimately find someone whom you can hypnotize. We positively guarantee you cannot fail if you persevere and follow our instructions carefully. And once you have hypnotized one or two persons, it will become easy and soon you will find that you can influence the majority of those you work with.

3. HYPNOTIZING your first subject is the initial hurtle you must cross. Keep in mind that a good hypnotist might possibly try ten people and not hypnotize one of them for a variety of psychological reasons dependent upon the situation. While with different people, the whole ten might be effected. You must make due allowance for this variation in subjects. We suggest that you learn your lessons carefully, until you know them as well as you do your A, B, C's, and then proceed right in practicing with people, and if you have any determination and perseverance whatsoever you can not possible do other than succeed. After the ice is broken, that is after you have hypnotized the first one or two subjects, you will have confidence in yourself and you'll be amazed at your own work.

4. AS YOU STUDY the science of hypnotism, you will find the basic controlling factor of the phenomena to be in the positive presenting of the correct verbal suggestions. To this end, you must always be sure to give all your suggestions in a confident tone of voice. A feeble, whining way of speaking will never accomplish positive results. Be a person of forceful character. Speak positively and directly to your subjects, and influence is certain.

5. REMEMBER, there is no such WORD AS “FAIL”. Some who've studied our course immediately hypnotize the very first person they try, others have to try again and again. All have learned and profited from the experience and practice. And whether you plan a career in Hypnotism or merely an increase in your education, this course is designed to help you achieve your goal. The lessons, in addition to easily followed text, are fully illustrated; you need simply refer to the figures mentioned in the text on the illustration charts given with each lesson group to graphically understand exactly every process described.
